Riccardo Silva

Riccardo Silva, one of the main shareholders, co-founded MP & Silva in 2004 with Andrea Radrizzani. Born in Milan in 1970, Riccardo is a member of the Silva family, one of the most important and historical families in the Italian chemical industry and owner of a major industrial European group.

In 1998, he started his entrepreneurial career in the media industry launching MP Web, an innovative and successful internet company producing web streaming of sporting events, which he later sold to a Swiss group. In 2001, Riccardo was appointed CEO of the Milan Channel, the official TV club channel of AC Milan, where he guided the channel’s international expansion, making it the first football club channel to be distributed internationally.

He co-founded MP & Silva in 2004, acting since then as President, leading and overseeing the impetuous growth of the company throughout the years and making it the worldwide leader in the distribution of television rights.

Since 2007 Riccardo has been living between London, the international headquarter of the MP & Silva Group, and Miami, where his wife and two sons live.

Riccardo is also member of several organizations in Europe and USA, such as the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), the Italian Partito Democratico (PD), the London Institute of Directors (IOD), the Yacht Club of Monaco and the Arts Club of London.

In December 2014, Riccardo was named ‘Best Media Executive’ in the sports business industry at The Globe Soccer Awards ceremony in Dubai.

Recently, Riccardo has become owner and President of Miami FC – Miami’s professional soccer team competing in the North American Soccer League.
